Antonia Biggs, PhD, is a Professor and social psychologist at ANSIRH. Dr. Biggs\u2019 research is dedicated towards better understanding the challenges faced by people wanting to access sexual and reproductive health services. Dr. Biggs conducts research in the U.S. and Chile and uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to better understand people\u2019s experiences accessing contraceptive and abortion care, contraceptive provision in primary care settings, and the psychological well-being of women seeking abortion. <br><br>Dr. Biggs is currently leading a study examining the psychosocial burden experienced by people accessing abortion care, as well as a national study assessing interest in alternative models of medication abortion provision, changes in prevalence of self-managed abortion, and people\u2019s attitudes towards criminalizing self-managed abortion.
